About the Company We are a Health IT company with deep expertise in healthcare technology, serving clients across the US and Europe since 2004. Everything we build is powered by our own Aidbox FHIR Platform and the HL7 FHIR international standard for healthcare data exchange.
All of our projects are long-term engagements, and we always act as a true technology partner: our clients trust us with full ownership over technology choices, architecture decisions, and the entire development process – from requirements analysis to production deployment.
We value people who are passionate about what they do, think broadly, have professional opinions, and genuinely care about understanding the business value behind every task. Communication, curiosity, and the desire to grow are at the core of our culture.
About the Project We are actively growing our Healthcare Billing practice as a strategic direction within the company. One of our flagship projects in this space is a standalone billing module built for a major US-based healthcare vendor. The vendor develops EHR systems (Electronic Health Records, like ERP ones for hospitals) for Home Care Agencies — medical organizations that provide in-home care services, which is a significant and growing market in the US.
You will be working closely with our Billing Practice Product Owner to gain deep domain knowledge and hands-on understanding of the project. We are looking for a Product Owner to join this team — with a clear trajectory toward independently leading future billing projects as the practice grows.
Here's what makes this project exciting right now:
We are already in production with 450+ agencies and have ambitious plans for rapid, multi-fold growth
Transforming team processes from startup-mode to production-ready release and testing cycles
An opportunity to think beyond a single project — we are turning our project experience into scalable billing products and are committed to building strong subject-matter expertise in our people for the long term
We are already in production with 450+ agencies and have ambitious plans for rapid, multi-fold growth
Transforming team processes from startup-mode to production-ready release and testing cycles
Strong focus on UX improvements and workflow automation within the billing module
Long-term vision:
Migrate all of the vendor's clients to our billing module
Lead a brand-new billing project from the ground up — from initial requirements to production
Launch the billing module as a standalone product on the market — there is an opportunity for you to manage this new product in the future
What You’ll Do
Dive deep into US healthcare billing regulations and home care industry specifics to uncover requirements and edge cases
Own the product backlog for the billing module: prioritize features, write user stories, and define acceptance criteria
Engage with stakeholders on the client side to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and validate business value
Drive the development process: facilitate sprint planning, manage the release cycle, and help the team estimate and deliver on time
Think through UX/UI flows from the user’s perspective – spot corner cases and guide developers to the right solutions
Manage client expectations with clear, positive, and honest communication – no overpromising
Work closely with the existing Product Owner during onboarding, with a clear path to either leading the current project or managing our new billing module independently
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or in a similar role
At least 6-12 months of experience leading or coordinating a development team (5+ people) in a production environment
Strong analytical mindset: you know how to dig into regulations, ask the right questions, and catch edge cases before they become bugs
Ability to think at the system level — you see beyond user requirements to how data moves, transforms, and ties back to business logic
An open mind and genuine curiosity to go deep — you're ready to immerse yourself in US Healthcare Billing and make it your area of expertise for years to come
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle – estimation, release cycles, Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD basics
Excellent communication skills in English (B2+ or higher) – you’ll be working directly with US-based stakeholders
Comfortable working with US Eastern timezone overlap (usually calls are at 4-6 p.m. GMT)
Clear, positive, and professional communication style – you can manage expectations without overpromising
Nice to Have
Experience in UX/UI – ability to think through user flows and wireframe basic solutions
Background in healthcare IT, medical billing, or familiarity with US healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, etc.)
Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare data standards
